Information About Astro Secure

Important: Beginning on September 25, 2024 Amazon Astro for Business will no longer function. In the coming weeks, Amazon will fully refund any Amazon Astro for Business device purchase to the original payment method used. If the original payment method expired or isn’t on file, we’ll issue a credit to your Amazon account. If you're an Astro Secure subscriber, you’ll no longer be charged any subscription fees beginning July 3, 2024 and will receive a refund for any unused, pre-paid subscription fees to the payment method associated with your Ring account. If you have a Day 1 Edition Amazon Astro household robot, your device isn't impacted and is still supported.

Existing Astro Secure subscribers will be able to do the following until September 25, 2024:

  • Create and schedule custom autonomous patrols
  • Get Smart Alerts for sound of glass breaking, smoke or CO alarms
  • Have Astro investigate Ring Alarm events and navigate to tripped Ring Alarm sensors

Virtual Security Guard is an add-on service that requires the following per enrolled location: a compatible Ring subscription (sold separately), enrollment in Ring Alarm Professional Monitoring, and an eligible device (sold separately). Rapid Response is the seller and provides the monitoring service.
A compatible Ring subscription is required to enroll in Alarm Professional Monitoring. Service available within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). Ring does not own its monitoring center. Smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring is not available for business or commercially zoned addresses. See Ring Alarm licenses at: ring.com/licenses. Additional fees may be required for permits, false alarms, or Alarm Verified Guard Response, depending on your local jurisdiction.
