Without Ring Protect, you'll still receive real-time notifications when anyone comes to your door, and you can answer the notification to see hear, and speak to visitors in real time right from your mobile device. The PoE+ Converter Mount is designed to enable Power over Ethernet+ (PoE+) connectivity for your Ring devices, allowing your cameras to receive both power and data through a single Ethernet cable for a more reliable connection compared to Wi-Fi or battery-powered options. The mount does not include an Ethernet cable - you will need to purchase a PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) power supply (either a PoE+ switch or power injector with Ethernet port) and a CAT5 or higher Ethernet cable separately.
