Yes, when plugged in. 24/7 Recording continuously streams and records video to the cloud, ensuring nothing is missed between motion events. Requires a Ring Protect subscription plus the Continuous Recording add-on ($3/month per camera). 24/7 Recording cannot be turned on while your Ring Camera is using battery or solar power. If unplugged and on battery or solar power, the 24/7 Recording feature will still record if previously turned on, but it may drain your battery faster.
Is a Ring Protect subscription required for Spotlight Cam (2nd Gen)?
No. You can still use your doorbell or camera to watch over your home and answer the door from anywhere, even without a subscription to Ring Protect. Without Ring Protect, you'll still receive real-time notifications when anyone comes to your door, and you can answer the notification to see hear, and speak to visitors in real time right from your mobile device. When you access your Ring Dashboard, you'll be able to view the image last captured by active devices.
