The main difference between Outdoor Cam Plus Battery and Outdoor Cam Plus Plug-In is how they receive power.

Outdoor Cam Plus Battery is powered by a removable, rechargeable Quick Release Battery Pack. Add a second Quick Release Battery Pack (sold separately) to have an extra charged battery pack on-hand. Outdoor Cam Plus Plug-in is powered by an included Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter that plugs into a standard AC power outlet. The Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter (USB-C) may also be purchased separately to convert an Outdoor Cam Plus Battery to Plug-in for nonstop power. You can also purchase a Solar Panel (USB-C) to convert an Outdoor Cam Plus Battery to Solar power to keep the battery charged longer with direct sunlight.

Outdoor Cam Plus can seamlessly connect to the Ring app and integrate with the other Ring devices for comprehensive home security.

Outdoor Cam Plus allows you to configure your privacy settings depending on your needs. Create Privacy Zones that black out certain zones you don’t want to record. Toggle Motion Alerts and motion or audio recording off in the Ring app at any time. Create a motion schedule to enable Motion Alerts and recording during the times you're usually away. Use Modes to select a camera state with Disarmed, Home, or Away Mode (subscription required, sold separately).

You can mount Outdoor Cams Plus on a ceiling or wall. With the easy-to-install mount included in the box, weather-resistant build, and multiple power options, Outdoor Cam Plus goes exactly where you need it most.

Yes. You can enjoy the full benefits this camera offers in outdoor or indoor settings. Place it on a table or mount it on a wall or ceiling with the included mount.

If you have a subscription to Ring Protect, motion event videos captured by your doorbell will be saved to your Ring account for up to 180 days. You can manage your video storage time through the Control Center. Photos captured will be saved to your Ring account for up to 7 days, so you can review them at any time. More information about video storage can be found here. Without a subscription, you can view real-time video for Ring doorbells and security cameras and answer doorbell notifications as they happen, but your videos and photos will not be saved.

A free 30-day trial is included with any Ring Doorbell or home Security Camera purchase unless you are already have a Ring subscription at the same location. You may subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan at any time during your trial, and you won’t be charged for your subscription until after your trial ends.

If you have a subscription to Ring Protect, you can share your videos and photos with anyone, including neighbors, friends, family and local law enforcement.

No. You can still use your doorbell or camera to watch over your home and answer the door from anywhere, even without a subscription to Ring Protect. Without Ring Protect, you'll still receive real-time notifications when anyone comes to your door, and you can answer the notification to see hear, and speak to visitors in real time right from your mobile device. When you access your Ring Dashboard, you'll be able to view the image last captured by active devices.

The PoE+ Converter Mount is designed to enable Power over Ethernet+ (PoE+) connectivity for your Ring devices, allowing your cameras to receive both power and data through a single Ethernet cable for a more reliable connection compared to Wi-Fi or battery-powered options. The mount does not include an Ethernet cable - you will need to purchase a PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) power supply (either a PoE+ switch or power injector with Ethernet port) and a CAT5 or higher Ethernet cable separately.

The PoE+ Converter Mount can be installed both indoors and outdoors, on walls or ceilings. While the installation is designed to be straightforward - simply mount the device, connect your Ring camera via the USB-C cable, and plug in an PoE+ Ethernet cable - you may want to consider professional installation if you're not familiar with PoE+ technology.
