It also includes Retinal Tuning8 — an intelligent feature that automatically optimizes your video by reducing graininess, enhancing sharpness and color, and learning the best exposure settings for your specific location over time.
What is the minimum internet speed required for 4K streaming?
A minimum upload speed of 15 Mbps is recommended. For the best experience with 4K video recording and streaming, we recommend at least 20 Mbps upload speed.
Will the camera automatically adjust video quality based on internet speed?
Yes, the camera features adaptive bit rate streaming technology that automatically adjusts video quality based on your available bandwidth to maintain a stable connection.
What's 3D Motion Detection?
3D Motion Detection uses radar technology to identify where and when a motion event will be recorded. The radar sensor measures distance and angle of objects in front of the camera, allowing for more specific motion detection alerts. Within the Ring app, users easily customize where on their property they want the camera to start recording when an object crosses a threshold.
How bright are the floodlights?
Floodlight Cam 4K Plus features 2000-lumen motion-activated floodlights that automatically turn on when the camera detects motion. The best camera for your home depends on where you want to put it. Spotlight Cam 4K Plus works great for smaller areas such as side yards, alleys, or patios. Floodlight Cam 4K Plus is better for larger areas such as the driveway and backyard.

You can mount Floodlight Cam 4K Plus on a ceiling or wall. With the easy-to-install mount included in the box, weather-resistant build, Floodlight Cam 4K Plus goes exactly where you need it most.
Does Floodlight Cam 4K Plus require a junction box for installation?
Yes. Floodlight Cam 4K Plus requires a 4-inch round, UL-listed weatherproof electrical junction box for installation. If you're replacing an existing floodlight that's already mounted to a compatible junction box, you're all set — simply remove your old fixture and install Floodlight Cam 4K Plus in its place. If you need a new junction box installed, we recommend contacting a licensed electrician.
