Generating a Sign In Code in Control Center

Learn how to generate a Sign In Code from Ring Control Center to sign in on a new Ring device.

In Control Center, you can choose how you want to receive your 6-digit Sign In Code. We require you to enter this code to help protect your Ring account.

Generating a code in Control Center

If you don't have access to your text messages or your enrolled device's authenticator app, you can generate a code from Control Center in Account Verification. 

From the Ring app:

  1. Open the Ring app.
  2. Tap the top
    menu (☰)
    .
  3. Tap
    Control Center
  4. Tap
    Account Verification
    .
  5. Scroll down to Generate a Sign In Code.
  6. Under Authorize a New Device, tap
    Generate
    .
  7. You may be asked to re-enter your password.
  8. Enter the code on the new device you wish to sign in.

From your mobile or desktop browser window:

  1. Sign in to your account at
    .
    • If you're on desktop: tap the
      Dashboard
      home icon at the top, then
      Account
      .
    • If you're on mobile: tap the top
      menu
      (☰)
      .
  2. Tap
    Control Center
    .
  3. Tap
    Account Verification
    .
  4. Scroll down to Generate a Sign In Code.
  5. Under Authorize a New Device, tap
    Generate
    .
  6. You may be asked to re-enter your password.
  7. Enter the code on the new device you wish to sign in.

Troubleshooting your sign-in to Ring

If you're having trouble receiving a Sign In code by text message or authenticator app, you can use an alternate method to verify your account.
