Setting Up Ring Cameras to Record When Alarm is Triggered
When your Ring Alarm is triggered, every second counts. You can set your Ring cameras and doorbells to start recording the instant your Alarm is triggered.
Reviewing previously recorded video on your Ring cameras and doorbells requires a Ring Home subscription.
Setting up Linked Devices to start recording when Alarm is triggered
- Open theRing app.
- Tap themenu(≡)on the left side of yourDashboard.
- TapDevices.
- TapAlarm Base Station.
- TapBase StationorAlarm Pro Base Station.
- TapLinked Devices.
- PressTap here to link devicesto adjust what happens when the alarm sounds.
- Select the devices you wish to begin recording video when an alarm is triggered or begins entry delay.
Note: Live View must be enabled in order to set a device for simultaneous recording. Turning Live View off on a device will supersede an order for the simultaneous record.2

Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a compatible Ring subscription (sold separately) for digital arming/disarming and certain other in-app features.

Your Ring motion event videos in the cloud are stored temporarily, up to 180 days. Changing your video storage time will only affect videos that are recorded after you adjust your storage time setting. Check Ring Subscription Plans for more information.
