Account Verification in Control Center
With Account Verification, you can choose how you want to receive your 6-digit verification code. We may require you to enter this code to sign into the Ring app or on Ring.com, after you enter your password, to better protect your Ring account.
How to access Account Verification in Control Center
From the Ring app:
- Open the Ring app.
- Tap the topmenu (☰).
- TapControl Center.
- TapAccount Verification.
From a mobile browser:
- Log in to your Ring account at Ring.com.
- Tap the topmenu (☰).
- TapControl Center.
- TapAccount Verification.
From a desktop browser:
- Log in to your Ring account at Ring.com.
- Click theDashboardhome icon on the top right.
- ClickAccountand selectControl Center.
- ClickAccount Verification.
Choose a verification method
You have the option to choose how you want to receive your verification code, by Text Message or Authenticator App.
Text Message
When you choose Text Message as your verification method, you'll receive a text at the mobile number you provide. Enter that code, and you're in.

Authenticator App
Authenticator apps are security apps for your phone, tablet, and computer that help prove who you are. These apps generate 6-digit verification codes to help verify who you are.

Verification codes in Control Center
If you don't have access to your text messages or your device's authenticator app, you can generate a code from Control Center in Account Verification.
Customer Support Verification
If you need to speak with our Customer Support Team, they may ask to verify it's you. In Account Verification, you can generate a Support Code to give to the Support Associate to help verify your Ring account. We will NOT ask you for your password.
