What’s going to happen to my Hedge home protection and system?
Starting January 1, 2024, all American Family Hedge devices, as well as the Hedge mobile app and monitoring services, will no longer function. To honor American Family’s commitment to protecting your home, we invite Hedge users who are still active American Family Insurance or CONNECT Insurance policyholders to transition to Ring. We encourage you to responsibly dispose of your Hedge hardware using your local consumer electronics recycling services.
What happens if I don’t redeem my Ring offer?
Your Hedge devices and related services will stop working on January 1, 2024. American Family Insurance or CONNECT Insurance policyholders may lose the benefit of their current smart home discount on their homeowners' policy, as determined solely by American Family Insurance.9
Do I need to be an American Family Insurance customer to take advantage of this Ring offer?
Yes. This special offer is available to current Hedge users who are still active American Family Insurance or CONNECT Insurance policyholders.
Where do I find my personal redemption code?
You should have received a personal code by email from American Family Insurance. If you’re not able to find the email or if your email states that additional verification is required, please contact the American Family Insurance Hedge helpline at 1-800-518-2538, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM CT for assistance. You must use your redemption code by January 31, 2024. It is unique to you and only works once.
Will I get a premium discount on my homeowners insurance policy if I transition from Hedge to Ring?
If you’re an American Family Insurance policyholder, and you’ve installed your Ring Alarm kit, American Family Insurance offers premium discounts in certain states. If you currently receive a premium discount for using Hedge, you may continue to receive discounts through American Family Insurance. To learn more about discounts available in your area, talk to your agent or contact the American Family Insurance Hedge helpline at 1-800-518-2538, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM CT.
What happens to my Ring Protect Pro subscription after the first year?
This special offer includes one year of Ring Protect Pro. At the end of your first year of service, you’ll have the option to renew at your own expense. Ring offers a range of Protect plans that can help you get the most out of your devices. There are monthly payment options, no long-term commitments, and you can cancel anytime for any reason.
After your one-year free trial of Ring Protect Pro, Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories will require you to renew your subscription for digital notifications, in-app features, digital arming/disarming, and integration with other Ring, Amazon Echo, and third-party products.
Will Ring share data with American Family Insurance?
Ring may share confirmation of your code redemption with American Family Insurance solely for the purpose of verifying the use of the redemption code.
