Neighbors App Information

The Neighbors app can be used by anyone, regardless of whether they own a Ring device.

If you own a device, the Neighbors app is integrated in the Ring app, where you set up your device. Tap to learn how to disable the Neighbors app in the Ring app. 

Frequently asked questions

Can I be a member of more than one location?

Users of the Neighbors app can only be a member of one location at any given time.

Ring app users who have devices set up in more than one location can be a member of each location that a device is set up in.

Can I change my location? 

Yes, if you do not have any Ring devices and are using the Neighbors app. 

To change your location:

  1.     Go to
    Settings
    in the
    Neighbors app
    .
  2.     Tap on
    Address.
  3.     Select a new address.

If you have Ring devices and use either the Ring app or the Neighbors app:

  1.     In the
    Ring app,
    open the side menu and tap on
    Settings
    .
  2.     Tap on
    Change Address
    .
  3.     Enter a new address.

How do I tell my community about the Neighbors app?

Neighbors helps communities collaborate and work towards making neighborhoods safer. See below on how to invite members of your community, friends and family, to the app. 

From the Neighbors app:

  1.   Tap the
    menu (≡)
    on the left side of your Dashboard.
  2.   Tap on
    Invite Friends
    .
  3.   Tap
    Send an invite
    .
  4.   Select a messaging app to share the Neighbors link.

If the desired messaging app is not available in the list, go back to step 2, copy the link and paste it into a messaging app of your choice.

From the Ring app:

  1.     Tap the
    menu (≡)
    on the left side of your Dashboard. 
  2.     Tap on
    Invite Neighbors
    .
  3.     Tap
    Send an invite
    .
  4.     Select a messaging app to share the Neighbors link.

If the desired messaging app is not available in the list, go back to step 2, copy the link and paste it into a messaging app of your choice.
