What happens to my videos if I cancel my subscription?

When you cancel a Ring Protect subscription, all of your recorded videos are permanently deleted. To save any videos, you must download them before cancelling your Ring Protect plan.

Will I lose my Ring Alarm features if I cancel my subscription?

If you owned a Ring Alarm before March 29, 2023, you will have access to in-app features (with or without a subscription) for the expected life of the device.

If you bought a Ring Alarm after March 29, 2023, you will lose Ring Alarm in-app features if you cancel your Ring Protect subscription. You can still Arm and Disarm your Alarm directly from the Ring Keypad without a subscription. Alarm alerts will sound locally from the physical Ring Alarm Base Station. Currently, any Ring Protect plan will activate in-app features for your Alarm. Learn more. What if I was on a Ring Protect trial when the price changed?

If you choose to subscribe to Ring Protect Basic during or after your free trial, you will be billed for your paid subscription on the day after your trial ends. If your first billing date was, or will be, on or after March 11, 2024, your subscription price will be the new price of USD $4.99/month or USD $49.99/year (plus applicable sales tax). All renewals occurring on or after March 11, 2024 will also be at the new price.
