Subscribe and Manage a Ring Home Plan

Subscribe to a Ring Home Plan to unlock advanced features. Learn more about Ring Home Plan features and benefits.

Subscribing to a Ring Home Plan

You can only subscribe to a Ring Home Plan on ring.com.

  1. Sign in to your account at ring.com.
  2. Select
    Plan
    at the top. Enter your password if prompted.
  3. Select
    Unsubscribed Devices
    to see which device(s) are not covered by a Ring Home Plan.
  4. Select
    Subscribe
    .
  5. Choose a plan to cover your device(s). If eligible, under Standard or Premium, you have the option to add Professional Protection Services.
  6. Choose between monthly or yearly auto-renewal.
  7. Add your payment method and complete checkout.

Important note: The subscription auto-renews until canceled. Learn more about canceling a Ring Home Plan. Subject to applicable taxes, if any.

Subscribe before your free trial of Ring Home ends

When the trial period ends, your videos will be deleted unless you’re already subscribed to a Ring Home Plan for that location.

Transferring a plan from one device to another

If you have a Ring Home Standard or Ring Home Premium Plan, any new Ring device set up at the subscribed location will automatically attach to the plan. Ring Home Standard and Premium cannot be transferred between locations.

If you have a Ring Home Basic Plan, you will need to cancel the Home Basic Plan attached to the previous device and subscribe the new or replacement device to a new plan:

  1. Cancel your Ring Home Basic Plan.
  2. Subscribe to a new Ring Home Basic Plan.
  3. Set up your Ring device with your new Ring Home Basic Plan.

Adding a new device to an existing Ring Home Plan

Sign in to your account on ring.com:

  1. Select
    Plan
    at the top.
  2. Select the Unsubscribed Devices you want covered.
  3. Select
    Subscribe
    .
  4. Choose a location.
  5. Choose a plan.
  6. Choose a payment option (monthly or annual).
  7. Review your order.
  8. Enter your payment information and check out.

Upgrade or downgrade your Ring Home Plan

To change your Ring Home Plan, you will need to cancel your current plan and subscribe to the Ring Home Plan you prefer.

To upgrade your plan:

  1. Sign in to your account at ring.com.
  2. Select
    Plan
    at the top.
  3. Select
    Upgrade
    and choose from the options to upgrade your plan.

Important note: When you upgrade, you will be charged the full amount for your new plan and receive a prorated refund for your old plan, based on the amount of time left on the plan.

Downgrade your plan:

  1. Cancel your current Ring Home Plan from your account at ring.com.
  2. Resubscribe to your preferred plan tier.

Changing your Ring Home Plan billing cycle

To change your Ring Home Plan between monthly and yearly while staying on the same plan tier, you will need to cancel your existing subscription and resubscribe using the billing cycle frequency you prefer.

To change your Ring Home Plan between monthly and yearly while also upgrading your plan tier, you do not need to cancel your existing subscription.

Upgrade your plan:

  1. Sign in to your account at ring.com.
  2. Select
    Plan
    at the top.
  3. Select
    Upgrade
    .

To lower your plan tier, you will need to cancel your existing plan and resubscribe to your desired plan.

For example:

  • If you are changing your plan from a Standard Home Plan monthly to a Standard Home Plan yearly, you will need to cancel and resubscribe.
  • If you are changing your plan from Ring Home Standard monthly to Ring Home Premium yearly, you do not need to cancel and resubscribe.

Subscribing to Ring Home Premium

In order to subscribe to Ring Home Premium, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • A 24/7 Recording
    1
    compatible camera
  • One Ring doorbell or camera located in the U.S. or Canada
  • A Ring Alarm or Alarm Pro in the U.S. or Canada
