How to Subscribe to a Ring Home Plan

With a Ring Home Plan, your Video Doorbells and Security Cameras can record and save video with video event history, for up to 180 days1, so you never miss an important moment.
Subscribing to a Ring Home Plan
You can only subscribe to a Ring Home Plan at Ring.com.
- to your account at Ring.com.
- On a phone or tablet:Tap themenu (☰).
- SelectPlanfrom the menu.
- You may be asked to enter your password.
- SelectUnsubscribed Devices. You’ll see which device(s) are not covered by a plan.
- SelectSubscribe.
- Choose a plan to cover your device(s).
- Add your payment method and complete checkout.

Transferring a plan from one device to another
If you have a Ring Home Standard or Ring Home Premium Plan, any new Ring device set up at the subscribed location will automatically attach to the plan.
If you have a Ring Home Basic Plan, you will need to cancel the Home Basic Plan attached to the previous device and subscribe the new or replacement device to a new plan.
Adding a new device to an existing plan
Log into your account on Ring.com:
- Tap the plan tile.
- Select theUnsubscribed Devicesyou want covered.
- TapSubscribe.
- Choose a location.
- Choose a plan.
- Choose a payment plan (monthly or annual).
- Review your order.
- Enter your payment information and check out.
Upgrading your subscription
To upgrade your plan:
- Go to the Subscriptions tab.
- Select Upgrade and choose from the options to upgrade your plan.
Note: When you upgrade, you will be charged the full amount for your new plan and receive a pro-rated refund for your old plan, based on the amount of time left on the plan.

Eligibility for subscribing to a Ring Home Premium plan
In order to subscribe to Ring Home Premium, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
- You have at least one 24/7 Recording-eligible camera. This includes eitherOutdoor Cam (formerly Stick Up Cam, 3rd Gen), Stick Up Cam Pro, Indoor Cam (2nd Gen), or Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam.
- You have at least one Ring doorbell or camera located in the U.S. or Canada
- You have Ring Alarm or Alarm Pro in the U.S. or Canada
