Download and share your Ring videos

Learn how to download and share videos from your Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera.

Your Ring motion event videos in the cloud are stored temporarily, up to 180 days. Changing your video storage time will only affect videos that are recorded after you adjust your storage time setting. Check Ring Subscription Plans for more information.

How to download your Ring videos

You can download one video at a time from the Ring app, or download up to 50 videos at a time from your account on Ring.com.

From a web browser:

1. Log in to your Ring account

   .
2. Go to

   History

   and select

   Manage

   .
3. Select the videos you want to save.
4. Select

   Download

   .
   • You may need to re-enter your password.

Videos are time stamped and downloaded to your computer as a .zip file. Once unzipped, each .mp4 file can be opened and viewed individually. 

From the Ring app:

1. Go to the menu

   .
2. Select

   History

   .
3. Scroll to the video you want to share, then tap more

   . 
4. Select

   Share

    then download

   . A pop-up screen will appear.

Once a video is finished downloading, you can find it on your mobile device camera images:

• On Apple devices, videos will be in your iCloud or Photos album.
• On Android devices, videos will be in your Files app.

How to share your Ring videos

From a web browser:

1. Log in to your Ring account

   .
2. Go to

   History

   .
3. Select the video(s) you want to download or share.
   • Share a video

     – Select share

      and choose destination.
   • Download a video

     – Select download

     . To download up to 50 videos at once, go to your Event History and select Manage.
   • Favourite a video

     – Select the star icon

     .

Tip: Adding a star to a video is a way of organising videos so you can find the important ones faster. Favourite videos are deleted at the end of the video storage period if they're not downloaded.

From the Ring app:

1. Go to the menu

    and select

   History

   .
2. Scroll to the video you want to share, then tap more

3. Tap

   Share

    then select a destination.

How to share your videos with the Ring team

Do you have an interesting or funny video? Share it with us for a chance to be featured. Follow these instructions to share a video with the Ring team.

From a web browser:

1. Log in to your Ring account

2. Go to

   History

3. Select the video you want to share with us.
4. Select

   Share

   .
5. Select

   Email

   .
6. Send the video to

   submissions@ring.com

   .

If you see a video that you feel might be a problem, follow the same steps as listed above but on the final step, send the file to support@ring.com.
