It also includes Retinal Tuning[3] - an intelligent feature that automatically optimises your video by reducing graininess, enhancing sharpness and colour, and learning the best exposure settings for your specific location over time.
What is the minimum internet speed required for 4K streaming?
A minimum upload speed of 15 Mbps is recommended. For the best experience with 4K video recording and streaming, we recommend at least 20 Mbps upload speed.
Will the camera automatically adjust video quality based on internet speed?
Yes, the camera features adaptive bit rate streaming technology that automatically adjusts video quality based on your available bandwidth to maintain a stable connection.
What's 3D Motion Detection?
3D Motion Detection uses radar technology to identify where and when a motion event will be recorded. The radar sensor measures distance and angle of objects in front of the camera, allowing for more specific motion detection alerts. Within the Ring app, users easily customise where on their property they want the camera to start recording when an object crosses a threshold.
What privacy features are included with Outdoor Camera 4K Plus?
Outdoor Camera 4K Plus allows you to configure your privacy settings depending on your needs. Create Privacy Zones that block certain zones you don’t want to record. Toggle Motion Alerts and motion or audio recording off in the Ring app at any time. Create a motion schedule to enable Motion Alerts and recording during the times you're usually away. Use Modes to select a camera state with Disarmed, Home, or Away Mode (subscription required, sold separately).
