Why is Ring making subscription changes?
We are always working to improve the experience of our customers. Designed to bring added peace of mind and convenience, Ring Home offers more subscription options and advanced new features to help tailor security to meet the needs of our customers.
What's changing?
From the 5th November, Ring Protect will become Ring Home, 'Plus' plan will be called 'Standard' plan and a new 'Premium' plan will be introduced. Additionally, new features will be added across all plans, including Video Preview Alerts on our Basic plan, Doorbell Calls and Extended Live View on our Standard plan and 24/7 Recording and Continuous Live View on our Premium plan.
What is the difference between Ring Home Basic, Standard and Premium Plans?
Each plan offers a range of features at different price points.
Ring Home Basic provides up to 180 days of Video Event History, Video Preview Alerts, and Person and Package Alerts for one device at AU$4.95 per month.
Ring Home Standard includes everything in Basic, plus Doorbell Calls, Extended Live View, Multi-Cam Live View, Device Modes, and more for all devices at one location at AU$14.95 per month.
Ring Home Premium includes everything in Standard, plus Ring’s most advanced features including 24/7 Recording and Continuous Live View for eligible cameras at AU$29.95 per month.
Will I lose any features from my existing plan?
No, Ring subscribers will still have access to all the existing features they know and love.

This feature is dependent upon network connectivity and other factors. 24/7 Recording is available on eligible wired or plug-in cameras including Ring Stick Up Cam, Stick Up Cam Pro, Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) and Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera.
2Subscription required (sold separately). Your Ring motion event videos in the cloud are stored temporarily, up to 180 days (depending on user's storage settings). Changing your video storage time will only affect videos that are recorded after you adjust your storage time setting.
3Subscription required, (sold separately). Package Alerts (available for select Ring video doorbells) work best with medium-to-large shipping boxes. Envelopes, tubes, small boxes, and food deliveries may not be detected. Make sure you have Motion Detection enabled in the Ring App. Learn more here.
