If your Alarm goes off
When something goes wrong and your system starts alarming, several things will occur:
- The Monitoring Center will call the primary emergency contact. If they cannot reach the primary emergency contact, they will call your secondary emergency contact. See below for more information on Emergency Contacts.
- The Monitoring Center will ask you for your verbal password. If you provide the wrong password, they will dispatch the authorities.
- The Monitoring Center will ask you if everything is all right or if you want to have emergency responders dispatched to your home.
- Emergency responders will arrive at your home. When they arrive, they will make sure you and your family are OK and then check the premises.

Emergency Contacts
If you're not available when an alarm occurs, the Monitoring Center will call your emergency contacts. These contacts can be a family member, friend, or neighbor whom you trust to act responsibly if an emergency occurs.
When choosing your emergency contact, make sure they are willing and able to do the following things:
- They must answer the phone and provide a verbal passcode.
- They must be available to go to your address within 15-60 minutes (time varies depending on jurisdiction) if requested by the Police or Fire Department.
- They must have a key or otherwise be able to give the Police or Fire Department access to your home.
- They must be knowledgeable about how to operate and disarm your alarm system if directed to by the Police or Fire Department.
