Managing your Ring account and privacy settings

You can manage your account information, which personal devices have access to your Ring account, and Privacy Settings, from the Control Center in the Ring app and on Ring.com.

Under the Account Management tab, you can update your name, phone number, email, and Ring account password. To update your payment method for Ring, you must be logged in to your Ring account on Ring.com.

Access Account Management

Follow these steps in the Ring app:

  1. Tap the menu (☰).

  2. Tap
    Control Center.
  3. Select
    Account Management
    .

Follow these steps on Ring.com:

  1. Go to
    from a browser and log in to your Ring account.
  2. From the main dashboard, tap
    Account
    at the top right.
  3. Select
    Control Center
    .
  4. Tap
    Account Management
    .

Updating your name, email address, or phone number

From Account Management, select Update next to Name, Email, or Phone Number, and follow these steps:

  1. Enter your Ring account password. A verification code will be sent as a text message or email for two-step verification. Enter the verification code into your Ring app and tap
    Verify

  2. Tap
    Continue
    .
  3. Enter your Name, Email, or Phone Number and re-enter the information to confirm.
  4. Tap
    Save
    .

Changing your Ring account password

If you did not authorize changes to your account, such as an updated email or setting, we recommend changing your password immediately. Do not share your password with anyone. No Ring employee, customer support associate, or Community manager will ever ask you for your password. Learn how to reset your password.


Updating your payment method on Ring.com

You can update your payment method for your Ring subscription plan only at Ring.com. Learn how to update your payment method on Ring.com.


Manage the Authorized Devices on your account

You can manage phones, tablets, and computers that are authorized to access your Ring account. When you successfully log in to Ring using your password and Sign In Code or passkey, the device becomes an Authorized Device.

From the Ring app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the menu (☰).

  2. Tap
    Control Center

  3. Tap
    Authorized Client Devices.

From a browser on Ring.com, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Dashboard home icon.
  2. Click on
    Account
    and select
    Control Center
    .
  3. Click on
    Authorized Client Devices
    .

We do not sell your personal information but may share certain information with our third-party service providers as explained in our Privacy Notice. Learn more about Privacy. From the Control Center in the Ring app, you can opt in or opt out of third-party provider services. We’ve also added a Cookie Preferences Manager on select Ring.com webpages. From the Ring app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the menu (☰).

  2. Tap
    Control Center

  3. Select
    Third Party Service Providers
    .
  4. Choose to turn off
    Web and App Analytics and Personalized Advertising
    .

From a browser on Ring.com, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Dashboard home icon.
  2. Click on Account and select
    Control Center
    .
  3. Under
    Privacy Information,
    select
    Third Party Service Providers.
  4. Adjust your settings to opt in or opt out.

To opt out of third-party provider services on a Ring.com page:

  1. Navigate to the Cookie Preference Manager banner at the bottom of the page.
  2. Tap
    Manage Settings
    .

To manage your data:

  1. Navigate to the
    Control Center
    .
    • From the Ring app:
      Tap the menu (☰)
      and select
      Control Center
      .
    • From Ring.com:
      Select
      Account
      from the main dashboard and select
      Control Center
      .
  2. Select
    Manage Your Data.
  3. Click on
    Download Your Personal Data
    or
    Delete Data.
  4. Enter your password when prompted.
