Ring Video Doorbell on a modern home.

Activate a Ring device and subscription bundle

Ring bundles are Ring product packages that have devices and Ring subscriptions sold together. These bundles are only available at participating retailers.

Set up a new Ring device

To activate your bundle, first set up your Ring device in the Ring app. Get setup instructions for your device here. Once your device is set up, you will start a free trial (if you’re not already a subscriber at the same location).

Activate a Ring subscription

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your bundle.
  1. Select whether you would like a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription.
  2. Enter your payment method for your auto-renewing subscription. We will use this card to charge you for subscription renewals.
  3. Activate your new subscription.

Your Ring subscription will auto-renew at the end of your bundle period (e.g. after 6 months). You can cancel your subscription for any reason on Ring.com, including before your first auto-renewal. Bundle subscriptions are final sale. Learn how to view your billing history or cancel your Ring subscription.

If you already have a Ring subscription

If you purchased a device and subscription bundle but you already have a Ring subscription, refer to the following.

  • If your current plan tier is
    equal or higher
than the tier of the bundled plan, you will receive an automatic subscription credit to your Ring account. Unused credits expire after two years of non-use.
  • If your current plan tier is
    lower
than the tier of the bundled plan, you will need to activate your Ring subscription plan using the steps above. If you do not activate your plan before your trial ends (if applicable), you will lose all recorded videos and premium features from your trial.

Ring Subscription Trial

When you set up a new Ring video doorbell, camera or alarm in the Ring app, you will receive a free trial (unless you are already a subscriber at the same location). During the trial, you will have access to Ring subscription benefits, such as video recording and sharing (up to 180 days in the US), and more.

If you did not activate your Ring subscription by the time your trial ends, you can activate your subscription at a later time. When a trial or subscription ends, all recorded videos are deleted and you will lose access to subscription benefits and features. To avoid losing your videos, make sure to activate your Ring subscription before your trial period ends.
