Using Live View Picture-in-Picture

Live View Picture-in-Picture (PiP) is a Ring subscription feature for the Ring app that lets you continue to watch Live View on your mobile device even if you leave the Ring app.

This feature requires a Ring Protect Plus or Pro subscription.

How Picture-in-Picture works

If you’re using Live View and you leave the Ring app, the live video will continue in a floating window on your device.

Note: To use this feature, the Picture-in-Picture setting on your mobile device must be enabled. Learn how to check this on iOS here. On Android devices, consult your the manufacturer's instructions. You can resize the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) window by double tapping the screen and use two fingers to pinch the image to make it smaller or spread the image with two fingers to make it bigger. To close PiP tap the x in the corner of the window. While you're using PiP, you won’t be able to use other Live View functionality. To use Live View functionality such as lights, sirens, and other controls, tap full screen on the Live View PiP window to go back to the Ring app.
