Adding and managing Shared Users
Ring account owners can share access to their devices without sharing passwords.

Adding, removing or editing a Shared User
Only Ring account owners can add, edit or remove Shared Users.
Note: Ring owners cannot share Chime or Chime Pro.
To add, remove or edit the access of a Shared User:
- Open the Ring app to the main dashboard. 
- Tap thethree dots (…)in the upper right corner of the camera tile.
- Tap[Device Name] Settings.
- Tap theShared Accesstile.
- To add a Shared User, tapAdd User.
- Select which type of user you would like to add and follow the in-app prompts.
- TapSend Invite.
- The recipient will get an email notification valid for 7 days.
- To remove a Shared User or edit the devices they can access, select the Shared User you want to remove.- To remove the user, selectRemove User, then tapSave.
- To edit access to specific devices, toggle on or off the select device(s), then tapSave.
 
Accepting a Shared User invitation
You will receive an email invitation from Ring to become a Shared User on an account. The invitation is valid for seven days. Shared Users must create their own Ring account to accept a Shared User invitation and gain access to your devices.
To accept a Shared User invitation:
- Open the Shared User email from Ring and tapManage Access.
- Sign in to your Ring account, or
- Open the Ring app to the main dashboard. 
- Tap the menu (☰). 
- TapControl Centre.
- TapShared Users.
- Under Locations (Shared), tapManagenext to the pending invitation.
- TapAcceptorDeclinethe invitation.
Note: It might take up to 15 minutes for Shared access to show in your Ring app.
