How to Fix Ineligible Cameras in Ring Edge
Ring Edge lets you store and process videos captured on your Ring device locally rather than in the Cloud (eligible Ring subscription required, sold separately).
In some cases, your Ring device might not be eligible to enroll in Ring Edge.

Here are the most likely reasons your camera could be ineligible to enroll:
Ineligible camera model
The following devices do not support Ring Edge:
- Video Doorbell (1st Gen)
- Discontinued versions of Stick Up Cam
- Stick Up Cam (1st Gen)
- Car Cam

If your device is not listed above, ineligibility may be caused by:
End-to-End Encryption being used
If your camera is using Video End-to-End Encryption, this can make some other features—including Ring Edge—unavailable. Disabling it may fix your device's ineligibility issue.

Requires eligible Ring subscription
The Ring Edge feature is only active when subscribed to a Ring subscription plan. In this case, subscribing to a plan can fix your camera's ineligibility issue.
