Using Ring Edge: Connecting Your Ring Devices to Alarm Pro
Ring Video Doorbells or Cams linked to your Ring Alarm Pro can be connected to process and store videos locally on a microSD card through Ring Edge. To do this, your Ring Alarm Pro and Ring cameras and doorbells must all be on the eero network from your Ring Alarm pro.
This feature requires a compatible Ring Home subscription.
Setting up Ring Edge
- During the initial Ring Alarm Pro setup, you’ll see anActivate Ring Edgescreen.
- TapGet started.
- If you already have Ring cameras installed, they will be displayed on screen. Make sure they are on the eero network to connect to Ring Alarm Pro’s local video and processing.
- For cameras you want for local processing and storage, tap the toggle to turn this feature on.
- If you do not already have Ring cameras installed, you can always go back to Ring Alarm Pro, then tap onEnrolled Camerasto opt cameras into local processing and storage once your cameras are set up.
Turning Ring Edge on after installation
- TapRing Alarm Pro.
- TapDevice Settings.
- TapEnrolled Cameras
- Make sure your cameras are on the eero network to connect to Ring Alarm Pro’s local video and processing.
- For cameras you want for local processing and storage, tap the toggle to turn this feature on.
Turning Ring Edge off for Enrolled Ring devices
- Navigate to the Ring Alarm Pro settings page.
- TapEnrolled Cameras.
- Toggle off any cameras you wish to no longer use for local processing and storage.
