Ring's intelligent features are designed to enhance your experience with Ring cameras and doorbells. Learn how these advanced tools can help you stay informed and secure.

Intelligent features are available with an eligible Ring subscription.

• Video Search

  : Use this search feature to find specific activity or objects captured by your Ring cameras and doorbells, giving you a better sense of what’s going on around your home or business.
• Video Descriptions

  : Provides detailed text of the event which help you quickly scan through your recordings.
• Single Event Alert

  : Reduces notification clutter by combining similar alerts from the same camera.
• Unusual Event Alert

  Reduces notification fatigue by intelligently filtering alerts, only notifying users of unusual events.
• Active Warnings

  Offers an extra layer of proactive protection. When enabled, your cameras will automatically warn visitors they're being recorded and use specific, identifying details. You don't have to lift a finger.
• Familiar Faces

  ²

  : Provides additional detail in your alerts by recognizing people, like your family, friends, or frequent visitors, you have identified in the Ring app. Their name will appear in your alerts when recognized.

Important note: When a video is shared, Video Descriptions will be shared as well.

Turning intelligent features on or off

1. Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
2. Tap the

   menu (☰)

   .
3. Tap

   Pro Features

   .
   • If prompted, read and then consent to using the features.
4. Toggle each feature on or off.
   • To turn all Main Features on or off, tap

     Turn On All

     or

     Turn Off All.
5. Tap

   Manage Devices

   to turn features on or off for individual devices.
