2K Video Resolution for Select Ring Devices

Ring Floodlight Cam Pro Wired and Spotlight Cam Pro can use 2K video resolution. 2K video has higher definition and sharper image quality than standard 1080p resolution. If you compare 2K images to 1080p resolution, you’ll see crisper, more distinct definition in images. Find out the name of your Ring device.

As an enhanced video feature, 2K resolution may use more internet bandwidth. Using 2K resolution may also impact streaming performance, delay notifications, and (for battery-powered Ring devices) result in faster battery drainage. You can alleviate these issues by setting the device back to 1080p resolution in the Ring app. For Video Settings:

1. Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.

2. Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.

3. Tap your device's Settings.

4. Tap the Device Settings tile.

5. Tap

   Video Settings

   for 2K or 1080p options.
