A warning symbol that consists of an exclamation point inside of a triangle shape.

Caution: Electrical shock hazard. Disconnect power to the installation area at your circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation. Always use caution when handling electrical wiring.

Installation by a qualified electrician might be required in your area. Refer to your local laws and building regulations before performing electrical work; permits plus professional installation might be required by law. For your safety, only use an existing doorbell transformer within the ranges specified below or compatible Ring accessories to power your device.

For connecting to an existing doorbell system, use:

  • Ring battery doorbells and Video Doorbell Elite:
    Hardwired transformer (8 to 24VAC, 50/60 Hz, 5VA to 40VA)
  • Video Doorbell Wired:
    Hardwired transformer (8 to 24VAC, 50/60 Hz, 8VA to 40VA)
  • Wired Doorbell 2K Plus, Wired Doorbell 4K Pro, Video Doorbell Pro, and
    Wired Video Doorbell Pro
    Hardwired transformer (16 to 24VAC, 50/60 Hz, 10VA to 40VA)

Ring accessories are sold separately and might include:

  • DIN Rail Transformer (24Vdc, 420mA)
  • DIN Rail Transformer (24Vdc, 500mA)
  • Plug-In Adapter (24Vdc, 500mA)
  • Solar Charger (5.2Vdc, 100mA or 109mA)
  • Solar Panel (5Vdc, 380mA/480mA/800mA)

Using incompatible power sources can damage your device and cause electric shock.
