Using the Amazon Key Property Management Portal with WallCall
These instructions are meant for Property Managers setting up Ring WallCall through the Amazon Key Property Management Portal. If you're a resident looking for setup instructions, read Using Ring WallCall for residents.
If you're a visitor or delivery person looking to get access to a building with Ring WallCall installed, please read Requesting access with Ring WallCall.
Before proceeding with setup, we recommend familiarising yourself with the Ring WallCall terms below. They appear frequently in the Amazon Key Property Management Portal, which you’ll use to create Keys, add users, and assign Keys to users.
Property
A location comprised of one or more Places.
Place
A building or group of homes within a Property that has its own individual Entrance. For example, if a Property called “Property 1” has multiple buildings inside it called “Building-A” and “Building-B“, then Building-A and Building-B will be called Places in the PMP.
Entrance
A door or gate that controls access to a Place or to the Property. For example, if Building-A in your property has a Front Gate and a Back Gate, then these gates will be called Entrances in the Amazon Key Property Management Portal. Also, gates providing access to gym, pool area and conference room will also be called Entrances in the Amazon Key Property Management Portal.
Keys
Customisable virtual Keys that enable staff and residents to use Ring WallCall at specific Entrances. For example, Property 1 has two Places called Building-A and Building-B. Building-A has an entrance called “WallCall Entrance-A” and Building-B has an entrance called “WallCall Entrance-B”. With Ring WallCall, you can create a Key-A that unlocks WallCall Entrance-A and another Key that unlocks WallCall Entrance-B, then assign that Key to a staff member or resident.
