Changing your email address in the Ring app
If you need to change the phone number on your Ring account, click here.
If you need to change the email address associated with your Ring account, you can do this from the Ring app. At Ring, we value your security and safety, so the first thing we need to do is verify that you’re the actual owner of the account, and that you’re authorised to change the email address.
Two-step verification is an extra layer of security designed to ensure that you’re the only person that can access your account. This means that when you try to sign in, you’ll get a text message asking you to confirm your identity. The idea behind two-step verification is that you’re verifying your identity twice when you sign in.
Changing your email address will be easier if you have your phone number in your Ring account and have two-step verification enabled for text messages. To verify that your phone number is in your account, follow the instructions below.
Important: Do not share your Ring account password with anyone. No Ring employee, agent or community manager will ever ask you for your password.

Troubleshooting
I'm trying to sign back in to the app with the new email address and it's not working.
Be sure you have verified the new email address by clicking the link in the verification email. Until you verify your new email address, you will not be able to sign in to the Ring app. If more than 24 hours have passed since you initiated the change, the link won't be valid and you'll have to start the process again to change your email address.
I never registered my phone number to my Ring account. Can I still change the email address from the Ring app?
Yes. If you do not have a phone number registered to your Ring account, your verification code will automatically be sent via email. If you do not have access to the email address that you want to change but you do have access to your Ring account, follow the instructions to add your phone number to your Ring account and enable two-step verification via text messages.
I no longer have access to the original email attached to my Ring account. Can I still change my email address in the Ring app?
Yes. First you need to enable two-step verification so you can get text messages instead of emails because the email verification will go to the original email address attached to the account. Follow the instructions to ensure your phone number is in your Ring account and enable text messages for two-step verification.
I don't have access to the email address that I used to set up my Ring account and my phone number is not on the account. Can I change my email address?
