Transmit Speed results guide

  • GOOD: More than 20 Mbps
  • OKAY: 10–20 Mbps
  • POOR: Less than 10 Mbps
  • NO DATA: No results yet

Is your wifi connection less than 10 Mbps? Try moving your wifi router closer to your Ring device to minimize the amount of physical objects, like walls or furniture, that may be blocking your wifi signal.

Connectivity Tips

  • Reboot your router and modem, then wait 5 minutes before rebooting Ring device(s).
  • Check your router and modem for loose or damages cables.
  • Ensure that your router and any wifi extenders you have are in an open space with a clear line of sight to your Ring devices.
  • Ensure your router's software is up to date. Refer to the router's manual or app.
  • If your router is old (4 years or more) consider replacing it with a newer one to improve performance.
