What Ring Smart LED Lightbulbs are available?

There are two different Smart LED Lightbulbs available at this time:

  • The
A19 Smart LED Bulb: This indoor/outdoor bulb is weather-resistant and offers a neutral white light that is the equivalent of a 60W incandescent bulb and includes adjustable brightness and custom light schedules (with a Ring Bridge, sold separately).

    PAR38 Smart LED
Bulb: An ultra-bright outdoor weather-resistant bulb perfect for illuminating outdoor areas with the equivalent of a 120W incandescent bulb. Includes adjustable brightness and custom light schedules (with a Ring Bridge, sold separately).

Do I need a Ring Bridge to utilize Ring LED Smart Lightbulbs?

Yes. Without the Ring Bridge, the Smart LED Lightbulbs will only function as standard light bulbs. With a Bridge, you can control and schedule your Smart LED Lightbulbs or group them with other Ring Smart Lighting products to trigger whenever motion is detected.

The Ring Bridge is the central hub that integrates Ring Smart Lights, Smart LED Lightbulbs, Motion Sensors, and Transformers into your Ring System. The Bridge connects the Ring app using your home wifi network and connects to other Ring Smart Lighting Products using a proprietary long-range communication system.

In addition, you can use your Ring app to create Groups of Smart Lights and Ring cameras that work together to enhance security. For example, if you group Ring Smart Lighting LED Bulbs with your Ring Video Doorbell you can turn on the lights as soon as motion is detected by your doorbell.
