What is Security by Ring?
The Security by Ring plan is designed to provide enhanced security features for your Ring Alarm Security Kit with Verizon LTE.
When you subscribe to Security by Ring, you’ll enjoy these benefits:
- 24/7 professional monitoring* with emergency response in case of intrusion, and panic, as well as smoke and CO* (with the purchase of Ring compatible fire monitoring* devices)
- Cellular backup with Verizon LTE for your Ring Alarm Base Station
- Up to 180 days of video recording for all Ring cameras and video doorbells at your location (Note: Ring Video Doorbells and Cameras are sold separately.)
- 30 days of free service (1 per account)
To get a Security by Ring plan, you’ll need to have a Ring Alarm Security Kit with Verizon LTE. (Kits can be purchased through Verizon Wireless online and in stores.) Security by Ring can only be purchased through Verizon.

A compatible Ring subscription is required to enroll in Alarm Professional Monitoring. Service available within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). Ring does not own its monitoring center. Smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring is not available for business or commercially zoned addresses. See Ring Alarm licenses at: ring.com/licenses. Additional fees may be required for permits, false alarms, or Alarm Verified Guard Response, depending on your local jurisdiction.
