Sign Up for Professional Monitoring

Step 1: Subscribe to Ring Home Standard or Premium and add on Professional Monitoring.

To add-on Professional Monitoring1 to your eligible Ring Home Standard or Premium plan, visit Ring.com and log in to your account. You’ll need to have at least one Ring device, such as your Ring Alarm or Ring Alarm Pro Base Station, set up in your account.

Step 2: Enroll in Professional Monitoring.

Subscribing to a Ring Home Plan does not automatically enroll you in Professional Monitoring1. However, it’s easy to complete your Professional Monitoring1 enrollment when you add it on to an eligible plan. We’ll ask you to confirm a few details, and to select an emergency contact. You’ll also choose a verbal password.

To enroll using your Ring app:

  1. Open the Ring app.
  2. Tap the
    menu (≡)
    on the left side of your Dashboard.
  3. Tap
    Settings
    .
  4. Tap
    Monitoring
    .
  5. Tap
    Professional Monitoring
    .
  6. Tap
    I Agree
    to agree to the terms and conditions.
  7. Complete the rest of the Professional Monitoring setup, then check your email.

To enroll online:

  1. Visit
    and log into your account.
  2. Tap on
    Settings
    in the top navigation tile.
  3. Tap
    Monitoring
    .
  4. Tap
    Professional Monitoring
    .
  5. Tap
    I Agree
    to agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Complete the rest of the Professional Monitoring setup, then check your email.

3. Check your email

If you’ve successfully completed your enrollment, you’ll receive a Welcome to Professional Monitoring email. 

You’ll also receive a second email about permit requirements in your jurisdiction.

Professional Monitoring is an add-on plan that first requires a compatible Ring Home subscription. Both sold separately. Service available within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). Ring does not own its monitoring center. Smoke and carbon monoxide monitoring is not available for business or commercially zoned addresses. See Ring Alarm licenses at: ring.com/licenses. Additional fees may be required for permits, false alarms, or Alarm Verified Guard Response, depending on your local jurisdiction.
