Manage your Ring In Alerts (for Residents and Staff)
Make sure you’re receiving the notifications you want for your Ring In device.
How to turn Ring Alerts or Unlock Alerts on and off
In the Ring app:
- Tap themenu.
- TapDevices.
- Tap any Ring In-enabled Entrance.
- Toggle on or off Ring Alerts, Unlock Alerts or both.
Note: If notifications for the Ring app are turned off in your phone's settings, you'll be prompted to turn them on.
After enabling notifications, wait a few minutes for the change to take effect.
Troubleshooting audio issues with Ring Alerts and Unlock Alerts
If your Ring Alerts and Unlock Alerts are on but you can’t hear them, try the following steps:
- Ensure your phone is not on silent mode, and the volume is turned up.
- Confirm that notifications for the Ring app are enabled in your phone’s settings.
- Check your Ring app's alert tones:
- Tap themenu.
- SelectDevices.
- Tap any Ring In-enabled Entrance.
- TapDevice Settings.
- TapNotification Settings.
- SelectApp Alert Tones.
- Make sure bothRing SoundsandUnlock Soundsare set to an audible tone, not Silent.
