A note for Ring Protect Plus subscribers in Canada

If you are subscribed to Ring Protect Plus at the time of November 5, 2024, your subscription will change to Ring Home Standard, and will no longer include the Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ and SOS Emergency Response² features.

However, you will receive a one-year trial of Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ and SOS Emergency Response². Your trial will begin automatically on November 5, 2024 and lasts until November 4, 2025, regardless of your renewal date. After your one-year trial ends, you will lose access to Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ and SOS Emergency Response². If you would like to keep these features after your trial, please follow the same instructions below for new subscribers.

More about Professional Monitoring

With the change to Ring Home, Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ is available only as a separate add-on to Ring Home Standard or Ring Home Premium. However, existing Ring Plus subscribers in Canada as of November 5, 2024, will get Alarm Professional Monitoring with their Ring Home Standard plan for one additional year as a free trial, until November 4, 2025 or until they cancel their subscription, whichever is sooner. To keep using Professional Monitoring¹ after the trial ends, you can add Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ as an add-on to your plan on ring.com/ca on or before November 4, 2025. The free trial of Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ will not impact your current billing price or billing cycle cadence.

For Ring Protect Plus subscribers in Quebec

If you are located in Quebec, you are not eligible to enroll in Alarm Professional Monitoring or SOS Emergency Response, as we do not offer those services in Quebec. If you relocate outside of Quebec into a region where we offer Alarm Professional Monitoring and SOS Emergency Response, you will be eligible to enroll in those services as a part of your one-year free trial (expires November 5, 2025).

How new subscribers can add Alarm Professional Monitoring or SOS Emergency Response (on or after November 5, 2024)

If you have a Ring Alarm device, you can add Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ to an eligible Ring Home Plan for $15/month or $150/year, giving you access to Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ and SOS Emergency Response².

If you don’t have a Ring Alarm device, you can subscribe to the Ring Home Premium Plan to access the SOS Emergency Response² feature.

Current features and more

Other than the feature changes mentioned above, you’ll still have access to the features you use in the Ring app, your account at Ring.com, and with your Alexa Routines. We’ll also be adding new and advanced features to each plan, starting November 5, 2024.
