Adjusting the Video Recording Length on Battery Powered Devices

The Ring app gives you the power to control how long your Ring devices record events. By lowering or raising your video recording length, you can either record longer events to capture more detail, or record shorter events to preserve battery life.

Adjusting your Ring device's recording length

If your device supports adjustable video recording lengths, you'll find the setting in the Ring app:

  1. Open the Ring app and tap on the
    Menu

    • 30 seconds
    • 60 seconds
    • 90 seconds
    • 120 seconds.
  8. You may get a warning that your choice will affect your battery life. Remember, you can always make a selection and change it to a shorter time if you feel your battery is draining too fast.
