Persistent Visitors Feature for Ring Peephole Cam
The Persistent Visitors feature on your Ring Peephole Cam can send you a notification in the Ring app when it detects people lingering near your front door.
This feature requires a compatible Ring Home subscription.
Persistent Visitors and Smart Alerts
Smart Alerts let you choose whether your device records and sends notifications when it detects:
- A person
- Other motion
The Persistent Visitors setting, if enabled, will give you a different notification if people spend an extended amount of time in your camera’s field-of-view.
You have two controls for the kinds of notifications you get. Note that these controls are not mutually exclusive, you can turn on one or the other or both.
- Always:You’ll get alerts whenever people are detected.
- If They Stay:You’ll get special notifications when people stay in view for an extended period of time. You can set the length of time a person has to stay in view before the device sends the special notification.
