Managing Locations in the Ring app
Locations in the Ring app allow you to group and manage your Ring devices based on their physical address.
When you set up a Ring account, you’ll be prompted to create a Location. When you set up a Ring device, you’ll be prompted to add your device to an existing Location or create a new one.
You can set up and manage multiple Locations from one Ring account by giving each Location a different name. When you make changes in settings, they are specific to one Location.
Ring Alarm: Having an accurate physical address allows your Ring products and services to work as intended. If you are using Professional Monitoring,¹ the Ring monitoring center can request emergency police, fire, or medical responders to your home, business, or jobsite.
Ring subscriptions: You can set up a Location without a subscription. The Ring Solo subscription covers one device, and each Location may have multiple Solo subscriptions. Ring Multi, Ring AI Pro, or Virtual Security Guard subscriptions cover all devices at one Location. Learn more about Ring subscriptions.
