Understanding light patterns for Ring Power Pack

Green light on for five seconds: Connected to power

  • Power Pack has been plugged into AC power.
  • Power Pack has been connected to another Power Pack or Ring Alarm Pro.

Solid orange light: Charging

The Ring Power Pack has a solid orange light indicating that it is charging.


Solid red light on for five seconds: Not receiving power

No light: Not in use or out of power

  • Power Pack is fully charged and not in use.
  • Power Pack is out of power and needs to be charged.
The Ring Power Pack has no light indicating that it is either fully charged and not in use, or that it is out of power.


Green light flashing: Providing power to Alarm Pro

Power Pack is connected to Alarm Pro and providing it with power.

Orange light flashing slowly: Battery low

Power Pack has a low battery and should be charged soon.

Power Pack has a very low battery and needs to be charged now.

Alternating red and orange lights flashing: Power cable not inserted

The USB-C power cable is not plugged in correctly. Connect the orange rounded USB-C adapter to the "Power In" port and the blue square USB-C adapter to the "Power Out" port.

Power Pack is downloading and installing an update.
