Alarm Professional Monitoring

Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ is an optional Professional Protection service feature that you can add-on to your Ring Home Standard or Premium Plan. When you add-on Alarm Professional Monitoring, your Ring Alarm monitors for alarm signals, and can notify2 emergency contacts and request emergency dispatch. The monitoring center is a team of trained agents who monitor all Ring Alarms year around.

It also sends an alert to your phone, as well as the phones of all Shared Users. When the monitoring center receives a signal, they will call to verify the signal and dispatch emergence response to your location in the event of a real emergency.

How do I sign up for Alarm Professional Monitoring¹? Visit Ring.com and subscribe to Ring Home Standard or Premium. You’ll have the option to add-on Alarm Professional Monitoring¹ along with enjoying the included features and benefits.

Self-monitoring

Self-monitoring is when you monitor the Ring Alarm yourself with or without a Ring Home Plan:

With a Ring Home Subscription

You can self-monitor your Alarm with a Ring Home Basic, Standard, or Premium Plan. When the Alarm Base Station is triggered, it will send an alert to your phone and the phones of your Shared Users. (If you have email notifications turned on, it may send an email as well.) You and your Shared Users can call emergency services if there is a genuine emergency like a fire, break-in, or another emergency at the location.

Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a compatible Ring subscription (sold separately) for digital arming/disarming and certain other in-app features.

Without a subscription

You can also self-monitor your Alarm without a Ring Home Plan. You can Arm or Disarm your Alarm from the Ring Keypad only. If your Ring Alarm is triggered, it’s siren will sound, but you and your Shared Users will not receive digital notifications2 and emergency response will not be requested1.
