Using Multi-Cam Live View
Multi-Cam Live View lets you use Live View for up to four Ring devices on ring.com and up to six Ring devices using the Ring app on an iPad.1 This feature is available for account owners and shared users.
Where you can use Multi-Cam Live View
Available on:
- ring.com (desktop web browser)
- Ring app for iPad (iPadOS 17 or later, Ring app version 5.91 or later)
Not available on:
- Ring app for iPhone
- Ring app for Android phones or tablets
How to use Multi-Cam Live View
On ring.com
- Sign in to ring.com from a browser.
- Under Cameras, clickStart Live Views.
- If you have two devices, Live View will initiate for both of them simultaneously.
- If you have three or more devices, clickManage Camerasand select your cameras.
Alternative method:
- Start Live View for a single camera.
- Click theShow More Live Viewsicon on the top left.
- If you have two devices, Live View starts for both devices.
- If you have three or more devices, clickManage Camerason the top left and select which cameras to show or hide.
To exit Multi-Cam Live View for all cameras, click the red phone icon on the bottom left.
On the Ring app for iPads
- Open the Ring app on your iPad.
- On the main dashboard screen in the Cameras section, tapShow Live Dashboardto start Live View for multiple cameras.
- When you set up Multi-Cam Live View for the first time, choose which cameras you want to view. Selected cameras start Live View right away.
- To change your selected cameras, tap the settings menu in the top right corner of the Multi-Cam Live View screen.
Using Live View controls
Tap on any camera tile to access controls for that camera.
- Activate Two-Way Talk:Tap the microphone icon to start or end Two-Way Talk.
- Turn on the speaker:Tap the speaker icon to turn sound on or off.
- Turn the lights on or off (ring.com only):
- ClickTurn offto turn lights off one by one.
- To access lights in the Ring app, click the redirect icon to view the individual device's Live View (the rightmost control icon).
- Sound the siren (ring.com only): Click the siren icon for each camera to turn sirens on one by one, or tap the banner at the top of the page to turn on all sirens. To access the siren in the Ring app, tap the redirect icon to view the individual device's Live View (the rightmost control icon).
- To turn sirens off, clickTurn offorTurn off all.
More controls
- Reorder your Live View tiles by dragging and dropping them into a different arrangement.
- Change layouts by tapping on the grid or featured camera view icon. You can toggle between equal and featured:
- In the equal layout, all Live View tiles will be the same size.
- In the featured layout, one Live View tile will be larger than the others.
- To view full screen on ring.com, click the full screen icon on the bottom right.
- Click the full screen icon again to exit full screen mode.
- Ring app for iPad supports landscape and portrait view by changing the iPad orientation.
- Works with iPad multitasking (Split View, Slide Over).
