Adjusting video recording length for your Video Doorbell or Security Camera

In the Ring app, you can control when your Ring camera or doorbell stops recording after motion is detected.

This feature requires a compatible Ring Home subscription.

You can easily customise and adjust the video recording length for your Video Doorbell or Security Camera in the Ring app. For battery-powered devices, shorter recordings generally mean longer battery life. Wired video doorbells and security cameras receive a constant supply of power, so you can choose the recording length you prefer without this trade-off.

  1. Tap ☰ on the top left of your dashboard in the Ring app.
