Managing alerts for Ring Alarm
You can control the alerts you receive for Alarm from the Ring app and on ring.com. Choose to receive a notification when a contact sensor is open or closed, a motion sensor detects motion, the alarm is triggered or there is an emergency event. You can also receive Alarm Alerts when your phone or tablet’s Do Not Disturb mode is on.
Managing push and email alarm alerts
In the Ring app or on ring.com, you can control which Alarm Alerts you receive and whether you get them in your email, as a push notification (banner on your phone or tablet), or both.
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Settings.
- TapAlert Settings.
- TapAlarm.
- SelectPush, toggle onPush Notifications,and then scroll down to toggle on or off each item you can receive alerts for.
- SelectEmailand then toggle onEmail Notificationsfor each of the items as you wish.
- Make sure that Focus mode or Do Not Disturb is disabled: Open the settings on your phone or tablet to confirm that “Do Not Disturb” is disabled or that your mobile device is not in a focus mode set to ignore certain apps or notifications.
- TapSave.
Note: The following Ring Alarm emergency alerts will continue to display even when your phone or tablet is in Do Not Disturb mode: Ring Alarm Alarming, Low Temp Detected, or Water Detected (Flood and Freeze Sensor only).
