Linked Devices - Automatically record on cameras when Alarm is triggered
When your Ring Alarm is triggered, every second counts. You can set your Ring cameras and doorbells to start recording the instant your Alarm is triggered.
Reviewing previously recorded video on your Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras requires a Ring Home subscription.
Setting up linked devices to start recording at an alarm
- Open the Ring app.
- Open the side menu by tapping the three-lined menu icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- TapDevices.
- TapAlarm Base Station.
- TapBase Station.
- TapLinked Devices.
- TapAdd Linked Devices.
- On the “Add Linked Devices” page, tap the devices you wish to begin recording video when an alarm goes off or begins entry delay.
Note: Live View must be enabled in order to set a device for simultaneous recording. Turning Live View off on a device will supersede an order for the simultaneous record.2
