Use Ring In (for residents and staff)

Learn how to use your Ring In to let yourself and your visitors in to your property, view your access history and remove yourself from Ring In.

How to let yourself in to a property

After setting up Ring In in the Ring app, you will see a Lock icon on the Ring app dashboard along with one of the following labels:

  • Locks: If you have multiple Ring In-enabled entrances,
    tap
    Locks
to view the entrances, then tap the Lock icon next to the one you want to unlock.
  • Front Door/Back Door (or other name): If you have just one Ring In-enabled entrance,
tap the Lock icon to unlock it.

If you don’t see a Lock icon on the dashboard:

  • It may take a few seconds for the Lock icon to appear on your screen after setup. If the icon does not appear, close and re-open the Ring app.
  • Check the Location displayed at the top of your home screen (dashboard). Make sure it’s the same location where you set up Ring In. If it shows a different location, tap it to change the location.

If you still don’t see a Lock icon, contact Ring In Customer Support.
