Account verification in Control Centre

With Account Verification, you can choose how you want to receive your 6-digit verification code. We may require you to enter this code to sign in to the Ring app or on Ring.com, after you enter your password, to better protect your Ring account.

How to access Account Verification in Control Centre

From the Ring app:

  1. Open the Ring app. 
  2. Tap
    menu (☰)

  4. Tap
    Account Verification
    .

From a mobile browser:

  1. Sign in to your Ring account on Ring.com.
  2. Tap
    menu (☰)
    .
  3. Tap
    Control Centre
    .
  4. Tap
    Account Verification
    .

From a desktop browser:

  1. Sign in to your Ring account on Ring.com.
  2. Click the
    Dashboard
    home icon on the top right.
  3. Click
    Account
    and select
    Control Centre
    .
  4. Click
    Account Verification
    .

Choose a verification method

You have the option to choose how you want to receive your verification code, by text message or authenticator app. 

Text message

When you choose Text Message as your verification method, you'll receive a text at the mobile number you provide. Enter that code to access your account.

Authenticator app

Authenticator apps are security apps for your phone, tablet and computer that help prove who you are. These apps generate 6-digit verification codes to help verify who you are.

Verification codes in Control Centre

If you don't have access to your text messages or your device's authenticator app, you can generate a code from Control Centre in Account Verification.

Customer Support verification

If you need to speak with our Customer Support Team, they may ask to verify it's you. In Account Verification, you can generate a code to give to the Support Associate to help verify your Ring account. We will NOT ask you for your password.
