Learn how to update your account settings to receive verification codes by text whenever you sign in to Ring.

In Control Centre, you can choose how you want to receive your six digit verification code whenever you sign in to the Ring app or your account at Ring.com. We require you to enter this code to help protect your Ring account.

Changing your code delivery to text message

From the Ring app:

  1. Open the Ring app.
  2. Tap
    menu (☰)
    .
  3. Tap
    Control Centre
    .
  4. Tap
    Account Verification
    .
  5. Select
    Text Message
    .
  6. You may be asked to re-enter your password.
  7. Make sure your mobile number is the one listed. If not, update it.

From your mobile or desktop browser window:

  1. Log in to your account at
    .
    • On desktop: tap the
      Dashboard
      home icon at the top, then
      Account
      .
    • On mobile: tap the top
      menu
      (☰)
      .
  2. Tap
    Control Centre
    .
  3. Tap
    Account Verification
    .
  4. Select
    Text Message
    .
  5. You may be asked to re-enter your password.
  6. Make sure your mobile number is the one listed. If not, update it.

Troubleshooting your sign-in to Ring
