1. Download the Ring app.

2. Scan the QR code.

3. Remove protective film.

4. Fully charge the battery.

5. Choose a location for your doorbell.

Install your doorbell without connecting to an existing chime

6a. Install the mounting bracket. Then, attach your doorbell to the bracket.

On stucco, brick, or concrete, use a 6 mm (¼ in) masonry bit to drill holes for the included wall anchors.

7a. Press until you hear a click to secure.

6b. Shut off power at the breaker.

CAUTION! You’ll be working with electrical wires during the install process. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Refer to your local laws and building codes before performing electrical work; permits may be required by law. Do not wire your Ring Doorbell to a DC-powered intercom system.

For your safety, only use an existing doorbell transformer within the range specified below or compatible Ring accessories to power your device. For connecting to an existing doorbell system:

  • Hardwired transformer (8 to 24 VAC, 50/60Hz, 5VA to 40VA)

Ring accessories are sold separately and may include:

  • Din Rail Transformer (24Vdc, 420mA)
  • Plug-In Adapter (24Vdc, 500mA)
  • Solar Charger (5.2Vdc, 100mA or 109mA)
  • Solar Panel (5Vdc, 380mA/480mA/800mA)

Using incompatible power sources can damage your device and cause electric shock.

7b. Install the mounting bracket. Then, connect your doorbell to existing wires and attach.

Remove your doorbell

Insert the removal tool to release the doorbell from the bracket.
