Ring app mobile device compatibility

Learn how to keep your Ring app and mobile device's operating system up-to-date.

Update your mobile device to latest operating system

Whether you are using Android or Apple, we recommend to update to the latest operating system (OS) on your phone and tablet to better protect your mobile devices and Ring account.

The Ring app requires iOS 15 (or higher), or Android 9 (or higher).

If your mobile device does not have the latest operating system, the Ring app may not work as expected, or you may not be able to access the Ring app.
