Using the Motion Sensitivity slider on your Spotlight Cam Wired/Mount

Use your Motion Sensitivity slider to determine how much motion you want your Ring Spotlight Cam to react to.

There may be things in your environment such as the shadow of a moving tree branch or the sun glinting off a shiny object that may trigger a motion event and send out notifications that you don't really want. You can use the Motion Sensitivity slider to reduce these kinds of motion alerts.

How to access Motion Settings

• Open the Ring app.
• Tap

  menu (≡)

  on the top left.
• Tap your Ring Spotlight Cam.
• Tap

  Motion Settings

  .
• Adjust the motion settings according to your preferences. 

Getting too many motion alerts?

Activating Person Alerts via Smart Alerts and disabling alerts for other motion prevents you from getting unwanted notifications such as your pets walking in front of your doorbell, car headlights or blowing branches.
