Solving lens flares in your Ring Video Doorbell 2

If your Video Doorbell 2 video has a lens flare, it may be because your doorbell is installed on a surface that is bordered by brickwork or other wall sidings that protrude 2 cm or so above the level of the Ring Video Doorbell 2.

At night, this causes the infrared light to reflect off the brickwork and create a series of lens flares that will be visible on the recordings.

This problem can be solved by using a Wedge Kit to change the angle of the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and placing the camera above the level of the brickwork.
