HANDLE WITH CARE. Your device contains lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. Use only the provided charger and charging cables. Use of an unqualified battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, shock, chemical leakage, or other hazard. If battery replacement becomes necessary, use only a new lithium-ion rechargeable battery expressly qualified for use with your device.
Keep all batteries out of reach of children. Do not attempt to open, disassemble, modify, or remanufacture the battery, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery, or immerse or expose it to water, other liquids, fire, explosion, or other hazards. To avoid short-circuiting a battery, do not allow battery terminals to touch metallic conductive objects or other battery terminals. Avoid dropping the device or battery. Do not crush or puncture the battery. Watch for signs of faulty batteries, including swelling, dents, and tears in the battery wrapper. If you suspect damage to the device or battery, do not attempt repair. Instead, remove batteries from your device and contact Ring Customer Service for assistance.
Only charge your batteries inside a building, in a dry state and using the supplied charging cable.
OTHER SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
Your device can withstand outdoor use and contact with water under certain conditions. However, your device is not intended for underwater use and may experience temporary effects from exposure to water. Do not immerse your device in water.
Do not spill any food, oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances on your device. Do not expose your device to pressurized water, high velocity water, or extremely humid conditions (such as a steam room). Do not expose your device or batteries to salt water or other conductive liquids. To protect against electric shock, do not place cord, plug, or device in water or other liquids.
If your device gets wet from immersion in water or high pressure water, carefully disconnect all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for them to dry completely before powering it on again. Do not attempt to dry your device or batteries with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer.
To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device or batteries or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm while your device is powered. If your device or batteries appears to be damaged, discontinue use immediately.
Use only accessories supplied with your device, or specifically marketed for use with your device, to power your device. Use of third-party accessories may impact your device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your device’s limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may cause damage to your device or the third-party accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your device.

SAFELY CONNECTING YOUR BATTERY VIDEO DOORBELL PLUS (2ND GENERATION) TO YOUR HOME’S ELECTRICAL WIRING
If you install the Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Generation) where a doorbell is already in use and you connect the Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Generation) to your home’s doorbell electrical wiring, you must turn off the existing doorbell’s power source at your home’s circuit breaker or fuse and test that the power is off BEFORE removing the existing doorbell, installing the Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Generation), or touching electrical wires. Failure to turn off circuit breaker or fuse so could result in FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, or OTHER INJURY or DAMAGE.
More than one disconnect switch may be required to turn off the equipment before servicing. To test whether you have successfully de-energized your existing doorbell’s power source, press your doorbell several times to confirm that the power is off.
If the electrical wiring in your home does not resemble any of the diagrams or instructions provided with Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Generation), if you encounter damaged or unsafe wiring, or if you are unsure or uncomfortable in performing this installation or handling electrical wiring, please consult a qualified electrician in your area.
Please avoid touching exposed wires to one another.
PROTECTION AGAINST WATER
If your device is dropped or otherwise damaged, the waterproofing of the device may be compromised.
